What it's about

The true story of Kurt Warner, who went from a stockboy at a grocery store to a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback.

Why 8

Our readingA sports and family drama, tackles and nothing more: eight, seven with an adult.
reading
Tackles, and a player knocked outAmerican football hits hard: players on the ground, a bloody nose, a tackle that leaves the hero unconscious for a moment. Nothing else violent.
A blind child, a tornadoThe son of the hero's partner is blind and disabled after an accident, spoken of gently; a tornado takes the young woman's parents, off screen. A few mild swear words, beer at the supermarket.

What the movie brings

A man stacking supermarket shelves at twenty-five who becomes a champion at twenty-eight: perseverance without speeches.
A blended family where a disabled child is at the centre, never on the side.
A true story of American sport, to discover football and its rules.
