The official US rating is PG; we never go below it, and here we go above: 8. Alone from 8; from 7, with an adult or by talking about it afterwards.

The sweet spot: around 8-10, when you laugh at the Coyote's gags and start to follow a courtroom story, with an underdog who finally stands up for himself. Why a sweet spot?

The trailer

What it's about

After Acme products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation.

Why 8

Above the official rating, and whyRated PG in the US (parental guidance suggested). We say 8: A cartoon comedy in which the Coyote takes Acme to court: explosions, falls and cartoon fights that everyone bounces back from, and a few mild swear words. The courtroom plot may feel long to the youngest: eight on their own, seven with an adult.
reading
Cartoon violenceExplosions, falls, fights and weapons waved around: it is the machinery of the Coyote's gags, and he always gets back up. Nobody is really hurt; at most you see a scratch and a bandage.
shown
Death, for laughsDying and killing come up often in the dialogue, almost always as a joke or a comic threat.
said
A few mild wordsA handful of mild swear words and small insults, nothing crude.
shown
The restA kiss, a few drinks between adults, some rather dark night scenes.
