What it's about

It's an unforgettable Christmas for the townsfolk of Wellington-on-Sea when the worst snowstorm in history alters everyone's plans, including Santa's.

Why 6

Our readingA snowy Christmas with children alone for a night and a father at sea who comes back: six alone, five with an adult.
reading
Children alone on a stormy nightThe parents gone to celebrate Christmas elsewhere, snow cuts the road, and a group of children spend the night alone in a house; a fisherman father is at sea, a mother works late at the hospital. A few tears, a little worry, all ends well.
Schoolyard tauntsUseless, weird: playground insults, between children who end up friends.
The restA rifle in a school play set, nothing else.

What the movie brings

Three Christmas stories crossing in a village, with a tired Santa and a reindeer who doubts.
What an imperfect family is worth, told with humour to little ones.
A celebration that succeeds because everyone huddles together.

Watching it together
