What it's about

The true story of how the Boston Globe uncovered the massive scandal of child molestation and cover-up within the local Catholic Archdiocese, shaking the entire Catholic Church to its core.

The official rating, firstRated R in the US (restricted, under 17 requires an accompanying parent). zinema never goes below the country's rating: it explains it.

Children raped, described by those it happened toVictims, now adults, describe in interview what a priest did to them, with precise words about the acts and the grooming. Nothing is shown, nothing is reconstructed, and the journalists explicitly refuse to soften the vocabulary. Several of those victims later took their own lives or died of overdoses, and the film says so.
Two hours of offices and documentsThe film is made of archives, directory listings, closed doors and phone calls. No violence on screen, no action. Fifty-eight swear words in the original version, twelve in French, and beer at the end of the day.
