What it's about

After a police chase with an otherworldly being, a New York City cop is recruited as an agent in a top-secret organization established to monitor and police alien activity on Earth: the Men in Black. Agent K and new recruit Agent J find themselves in the middle of a deadly plot by an intergalactic terrorist who has arrived on Earth to assassinate two ambassadors from opposing galaxies.

The bug beneath the skinThe villain wears a human body that never fits right, and the movie saves its longest, least funny look for the creature at the end. Roaring, snapping, swallowing: it is the one stretch where the jokes stop and young viewers may want a hand to hold.

Guns everywhere, played for laughsWeapons are drawn, pointed and fired constantly, plus a few blasted alien bodies. Almost none of it is bloody and much of it lands as a gag, but small children read a pointed gun at face value long before they get the joke.
