9 alone, 8 with a parent.
Alone, or with you
Alone from 9; from 8, with an adult or by talking about it afterwards.
The sweet spot: around 10-11, when school comes to the war and you are ready to ask what you would have done in her place. Why a sweet spot?
In France, zinema would say 9.
Fanny is a Jewish girl in a French orphanage in 1943. When she and her friends are no longer safe from the Nazis, they try to flee to Switzerland. After their guide disappears, Fanny has to take the lead and help the other kids make it over the mountains.
Explain beforehand why these children are hiding; the film does not say everything, that is for you to say.
at 9 and up
Fanny has to decide for eight children: at what point does she become a leader?
