What it's about

A small goat with big dreams gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball, a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.

Why 6

Our readingA cartoon sport, brutal like a match and never cruel; the shots people talk about are shots at the basket: six alone, five with an adult.
reading
A sport where they crash into each otherRoarball is a sport for ferocious beasts: tackles, collisions, bursts of light, crowd noise throughout. Brutal like a match, never cruel, and the shots people talk about are shots at the basket.
The small one against the big onesA goat mocked, called useless and a coward by his teammates, opponents who growl; a few tears and a moment of discouragement alone in the dark.

What the movie brings

Being the smallest on a team and finding what you can do that the others cannot.
An invented sport with its own rules, which children replay in the garden.
The courage to turn up to practice when you are told you do not belong.

Watching it together

Before

Nothing to prepare; the film is loud, and the smallest may need a break in the middle.

After

at 6 and up

Will is neither the strongest nor the fastest: what earns him his place?
