What it's about

Peter Parker is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a super-hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Why 13

The official rating, firstRated PG-13 in the US (parents strongly cautioned, some material may be inappropriate for children under 13). zinema never goes below the country's rating: it explains it.

A death that really landsSomeone close to Peter is killed, and the film does not rush past it. Blood is visible in close shots and stays on screen, and death is talked about constantly, threats, accusations of murder, people saying they will kill him. It is the emotional center of the movie, not background action.
Long fights, guns, fireExpect sustained superhero combat: brawls, weapons held on people, gunfire on the soundtrack, and a lot of fire and explosions. It is stylized rather than gory, but it is loud, long, and repeated across the whole runtime.
Dark screen, screaming facesMore than half the film plays in near darkness, and the frightening moments come from distorted faces and people screaming in terror rather than from monsters. A couple of loud surprises land after quiet stretches.
Cruelty and a hard choiceOne sequence turns cruel: a character is hurt and cornered, and the dialogue around it is harsh. The film also asks whether dangerous people deserve to be saved, which is the real question underneath the action.
Language, smoking, drinkingScattered swearing throughout, a handful of put-downs between friends, cigarettes on screen, and a bar scene with beer and wine. Nothing dwelt on, but it is there.

What the movie brings

It takes responsibility seriously: what you owe to people you could save, even when saving them costs you everything.
It shows grief without a shortcut, and a teenager who keeps going anyway.
Friendship and loyalty carry the story as much as the powers do.
