What it's about

In the year 2044, time travel has not yet been invented but in 30 years it will have been. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target into the past where a looper, a hired gun, like Joe is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good until the day the mob decides to close the loop, sending back Joe's future self for assassination.

Killing men sent from the futureThe hero shoots, at point-blank range, hooded men sent to him in a field, and the film makes it a routine. Blood is in close-up, often: a friend whose limbs vanish one by one as he crawls, a final shootout in a farmhouse.
A child who kills with his mindA five-year-old boy, when frightened, blows up the people around him; we see it once in full, with bodies torn apart in the air. Children are also hunted to kill the one who will become a tyrant, and one of them is shot.
