rule
Executions up closeA CIA killer shoots witnesses at point-blank range, including someone close to the hero in the middle of a riot; blood fills the centre of the frame several times, and a father's death is told in detail.
Athens on fire, Las Vegas in piecesA riot with petrol bombs and tear gas, a chase that crushes dozens of cars, a minute of gunfire and a hundred shots of bare-handed fighting.
Torture, mentionedTorture and secret programs are talked about, not shown; almost half the film is in the dark, some twenty swear words.

What the movie brings

A man searching for the truth about his father and finding out he was manufactured: the question of what we were not told.
Mass surveillance explained through an action film: cameras, phones, social networks selling their users.
Chases filmed for real, without effects, that still impress.

Watching it together

Before

Say beforehand that someone close to the hero dies early and brutally; the rest is motion.

After

at 13 and up

Bourne could disappear for good: why does he come back every time?
