From 13, alone or with a parent.
Alone, or with you
The official US rating is PG-13, and we never go below it. Alone from 13, and not before, even with an adult.
The sweet spot: around 13-15, this is the age when the machinery of the film becomes readable: you watch the lie being built, you see the disaster coming, and the flirting humour makes you laugh instead of squirm. Before that, half the innuendo goes past you. Why a sweet spot?
Official US rating: PG-13. In France, zinema would say 12.
Greg founded a company called Alibi.com that creates any type of alibi. With his associate, Augustin, and Medhi his new employee, they devise unstoppable stratagems and stagings to cover their clients. But meeting Flo, a pretty blonde who hates men who lie, will complicate Greg's life, which begins by hiding the true nature of his activity. During the presentation to parents, Greg understands that Gérard, the father of Flo, is also one of their clients.
You might say up front: these characters are professionals at lying, and the movie is going to make us like them before it shows us the cost.
at 13 and up
Is there such a thing as a harmless lie, and where does it stop being harmless?
